Sebelumnya, Jokowi telah menyampaikan terkait alasan PPKM dicabut.Hal ini melihat dari data penanganan kasus pandemi COVID-19 di Indonesia yang belakangan semakin terkendali dan menyebut persentase angka kematian COVID-19 di Indonesia berada di bawah standar dari WHO.Selain itu, pencabutan PPKM di Indonesia ini dilandasi tingginya cakupan imunitas penduduk. Jokowi menyebut kekebalan imunitas penduduk RI di angka 98,5 persen.“Jadi dari seluruh survei, kalau kita lihat angkanya di Desember 2021 itu 87,8 persen, di Juli 2022 ini berada di angka 98,5 persen,” jelas Jokowi.
